Ameriplan is a company that offers members discounts on various health care products and services. It’s also famous for it’s affiliate program which allows people to earn money from the safety and comfort of their homes.

A lot of people are tied down with family and are unable to work full-time jobs. On paper, the affiliate program seems like a dream, but in reality, things are a little bit different.

In this review, we’re going to strip the company down to it’s bare essentials and we’ll find out if it’s a legitimate work at home business opportunity.

First, it’s important to keep in mind that I’m not an affiliate for this program, therefore, my opinion is not negatively or positively biased.

You should also remember that this review is based on my personal opinion and there are likely many different opinions to consider. Do the research. I’m just here to make sure that you make an educated decision.

What is Ameriplan?

It’s a company that offers various packages which contain discounts on various medical services and products. For example, the following are some medical services that are covered with Ameriplan: dental, prescription drugs, healthcare, vision, chiropractic, physical therapy, hearing, mental health, and much more.

The idea is to provide the public with a cheaper alternative to medical care. We all know how medical pills can pile up and the average person can be drained of their precious savings after one small accident.

Therefore, Ameriplan aims to make it easier for people to acquire the type of medical services that they need. It’s a company that has been around for a considerable amount of time (founded in 1992) and it indeed does save people money in the long-run.

Of course, I’m sure you’re more interested in the work at home opportunity than cheaper healthcare.

How Do You Make Money With It?

Ameriplan allows members to participate in an affiliate program. Generally speaking, affiliates will promote the company and whenever a new member signs-up through the affiliate’s unique link, the affiliate is given a commission fee.

The attractive aspect of this affiliate program is that the memberships are based on a monthly subscription and the affiliates can earn a percentage of that subscription fee. In other words, commission fees are based on a monthly basis.

Therefore, it’s possible to make a substantial amount of cash with this program. It’s passive income. You’ll also be able to choose the type of services that you would like to promote.

For example, if you own a dentist website, it might be profitable to promote Ameriplan’s dentist services. There are a lot of different ways to promote the company and your success depends on your marketing skills.

Therefore, who are new to online marketing might find it difficult to earn cash with this program.

Are There Any Issues With Ameriplan?

Well to start with, it requires a $100 start-up fee.

That’s quite steep for a company that doesn’t guarantee income. There’s another problem with this program, there aren’t a lot of Ameriplan approved clinics and doctors. In fact, there are only a few of these approved clinics.

The truth is that most health centers don’t accept Ameriplan. That’s a problem because it makes it difficult to promote the company if there are very few clinics that utilize the service. Here’s a scenario:

You find out about this company and you want to promote it to friends. You do some research for clinics that have partnerships with this business. You don’t find any clinics. Suddenly the pitch becomes weak.

If there’s Ameriplan clinic in your area, you’ll certainly benefit from the cheap medical services. But the fact is that Ameriplan just does not have enough partnerships to make it worth you’re while.

You might be able to save some cash on medical bills but it won’t make a difference if you have to drive 100 kilometers to the nearest Ameriplan clinic.

I’m sure in the future Ameriplan will partner with more health establishments, but until then, it’s not the opportunity people claim.

Selling memberships is hard-work. Not to mention the fact that people can cancel their membership at anytime.

You can still make cash if you can find leads for the business. But a lot of people don’t follow that route because it seems slightly unethical.

There’s another problem with this business. It’ll only pay members their commission fees once the total commission fee is more than the member’s current membership.

Yes, people have to purchase a membership in order to become affiliates. If you purchase the basic membership ($50/month) you’ll be paid once you earn more than $50 in commission fees.

Likewise, if you purchase the advanced membership ($150/month) you’ll only be able to earn commissions once you reach the $150 limit. Granted, with the most expensive membership you’ll be able to earn 40% commission on all sales.

Here are the memberships:

• Platinum ($50/month)
• Total Platinum ($75/month)
• Platinum Freedom ($150/month)

So in order to become an affiliate, one must purchase a membership, and that membership will determine the amount he can make in commission fees.

Combine that with the lack of Ameriplan partnerships and the difficulty to recruit new members and you have a work at home opportunity that’s falling apart. This compensation plan is similar to another product I reviewed recently called Empower Network.

So next time someone claims that this company is the solution to all your problems, remember this review.

There’s a lot going on behind the scenes that the marketers don’t mention. The fact is that you won’t be able to make a full-time income with this affiliate program.

Even if you’re an amazing marketer and manage to convince people to sign-up they’ll cancel their memberships when they realize the product is not as convenient as they thought.

I believe the services are decent, the discounts are excellent, but the company needs a lot of work.

It seems like the owners aren’t investing a lot of time into the business.

Remember, when it comes to making cash from the comfort of your home, it’s always better to create your own business.
