There are a lot of opportunities out there that will allow you to make money online. But no opportunity is more common than answering surveys.
There are a lot of websites out there that offer surveys as their main, or at least, one of the opportunities they have for you to make money online.
It is important to remember, though, that not all websites offering this opportunity are legitimate. There are also a lot of scam ones out there that won’t pay you anything and is only out to steal your information.
In this review, we will be looking at a website called OneOpinion. It provides you with an opportunity to make money answering surveys or testing products.
The site pays in points, which you can withdraw for cash once you have reached the minimum withdrawal amount.
The amount of money you can earn with this site, though, depends on several factors. But it seems realistic to expect to make about $5 to $10 a month with this opportunity.
But is OneOpinion really a legitimate opportunity or is it just a scam and a waste of time that you should avoid?

OneOpinion is A Legitimate Opportunity To Make Money From
OneOpinion is an online community of panelists that are ready to participate in market research activities. The market research company Critical Mix own this website.
As a member of this site, you can make money answering surveys or testing products. The site will pay you in points for completing the activities.
You can withdraw the points you earned for cash or redeem them for gift cards once you reach the minimum threshold requirement.
From what I’ve seen from the website, I can say that it is pretty much a legitimate opportunity. The site does provide paid surveys or product testing activities.
There have also been little to no issues when it comes to the payment, and members are generally happy or positive with the opportunity OneOpinion provides.
However, there are some issues with this opportunity, starting with the limited survey and product testing opportunities they have.
There’s also issue with the site’s disqualification rate, especially as some of the disqualifications happens while you are already halfway through answering the survey.
There are also several complaints about the site’s customer service saying that they are not really any help at all. I’ll discuss these issues in more detail as we progress further in this review of OneOpinion.
Who Uses OneOpinion?
OneOpinion is designed for two groups of people with one being businesses and organizations that are in need of market research activities.
The other group are people like you who are looking for an opportunity to make some money online. For businesses, the website allows them to gather information or opinions from people.
They can do this in the form of surveys or by having their products tested. OneOpinion has thousands of members that come from different countries in several parts of the world. This allows them to target the right people to gather information.
As for the people like you, the website offers an opportunity to make money participating in market research studies.
You get to earn points for answering surveys or testing out products. The points you earn can be withdrawn for cash or redeemed for gift cards. You just need to reach the minimum threshold.
Becoming a member is simple and easy to do so. You also don’t have to pay anything to be a member.
In the next section, I’ll discuss in more detail the registration process and how you can make money with OneOpinion.
How Do You Make Money with OneOpinion?
OneOpinion offers two ways for members to make money. One is by answering surveys, and the other is by testing products.
You will get paid in points for completing the tasks and the points you earn can be withdrawn for cash or redeemed for gift cards. You just need to reach the minimum cashout threshold.
Before you can participate, you need to be a member of OneOpinion first. Signing up is easy, as you just need to provide the details needed in the registration form.
Once done, you just confirm your email and you are a member. It is important to note that this opportunity is only available to people living in the U.S., UK, Canada, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Australia, and the Netherlands.
You also need to be at least 13 years old to register. After verifying your email, the next step is to complete the demographic questionnaire to see what kind of surveys you can qualify for.
Now, there are three ways you can get a survey and the first one is that OneOpinion will send invitations via email. The second way is if you search for available studies yourself on the website, which they highly recommend. The last one is through their smartphone app, where extra mobile surveys are available.
You get paid in points for completing these surveys. You can expect to earn about 1,000 to 5,000 points per survey. This is equivalent to $1 to $5. There will be times when you will be lucky and get to participate in surveys that pay 15,000 points or $15.
It is important to note that you will be required to answer pre-survey questions first to see if you qualify to participate. If you do, you can proceed. If not, you will still get 50 points for trying.
The points you earn will be immediately sent to your account, so there’s no need to wait for days before you can receive them.
The next way to earn is by participating in product testing. This opportunity, though, is not yet available to new members. You will need to be with them for a while before you can get invited to participate.
OneOpinion will send a product to your home address for you to provide an honest opinion or feedback. The products you receive are usually those that have yet to be released in the market. If you qualify to participate, you can earn up to $50 for testing products.
So how can you withdraw your earnings? You have a choice of withdrawing via PayPal or redeeming it for a Visa Debit Card.
To be able to redeem, you need at least 25,000 points or $25. For Visa Debit Cards, you have a choice of getting a physical card via UPS to your home or a virtual card via email. Physical cards can take up to 10 days to arrive.
As mentioned above, there are certain issues with this opportunity and the biggest among them is the limited survey and product testing opportunities you will get.
Now there’s really nothing you can do about this issue because the availability of the studies will depend on your demographics. There will be weeks where you have a lot of opportunities and weeks you don’t.
The other issue is that the site has a high disqualification rate. Now, this is also due to your demographic location and profile as the site wants to make sure that only the right people participate.
Sometimes, the reason for the disqualification is because the slots are already full or the client has already reached the maximum number of submissions they need.
The last issue is customer service, it seems like a lot of people who have issues can’t rely on customer service to assist them. One reason is that the site has a customer service chatbot. It probably would have been better if they used real people instead of bots.
What I Like about OneOpinion
Now that we know what OneOpinion is and what they bring, it’s time to discuss what is good about this opportunity.
- The first thing that I like about OneOpinion is that they will still provide you with consolation points when you get disqualified for a survey. This is good because it means you are not wasting your time through the pre-qualifying questions since you will still get paid for it.
- Another thing that I like about OneOpinion is that they allow all members of your household to have an account. A lot of survey sites limit membership to only one per household, so allowing all members of your home to register is a welcome feature.
- It’s also good that OneOpinion doesn’t charge anything to be a member or to participate in any studies, including product testing. So you don’t have to worry about shelling out any money when you are a member.
What I Dislike about OneOpinion
Of course, not everything is good with OneOpinion, as there are also things I didn’t like about this opportunity.
- The first thing that I didn’t like about OneOpinion is that their survey opportunities are limited. Though granted that this issue stems more from the fact that availability is dependent on your location and on client’s needs, it would have been better if the opportunities still weren’t limited.
- I also don’t like the fact that product testing is not available to new members. It would have been a great help for newbies if product testing was available right from the start. But, again this is likely due to what the client needs and how many opportunities they have available.
- I also don’t like that OneOpinion has a high disqualification rate. Though getting 50 points is a decent consolation, it still won’t help you earn faster. It would have been better if screening was improved so that you will only get surveys that you are more likely to qualify for.
Do I Recommend OneOpinion?
After learning more about OneOpinion and what they bring, I can say that this is an opportunity that I don’t really recommend.
Yes, the site does have good upsides like getting consolation points or allowing all household members to be panelists, it is still not enough to justify recommending this opportunity.
All of the upsides the site has cannot overcome one important aspect, and that is that you can’t really earn a lot with this opportunity.
Since the surveys and product testing opportunities are limited, you can only expect to earn about $5 to $10 a month, on average.
I don’t think that amount is enough to justify signing up for this site and spending the time required to even answer the surveys.
And if this is the amount of money you can expect to earn, this means it will take 3 months before you can withdraw your money. That is a long wait for such a little amount. You would be better off looking for more lucrative online money making opportunities.
