What Patterns Are Running Your Life?

So I just wanted to prefix this post with a

I have to admit that I am by no means a self help guru, but I do know that when I study some of the most successful business people, whether they have created their success online or off, there is one thing that they all share, and that is, their thought patterns.

So what does thought patterns have to do with running a successful business?

Well, if you think about it – what preceeds actions?

Yep, you got it – thought.

In order for you to carry out any action you first must think and even visualize (to a degree) what it is you have to do to perform the action.

This being the case, why is it that most of the time you do things without thinking. Like driving to work for example, have you ever driven to work, got there, and then didn’t remember the journey? You must have driven through 10 traffic lights and still don’t remember how you got to work safely, but you did.

And that’s because your subconscious mind did the driving for you. You were operating on autopilot.

But, the problem is, most of the time we move about our day on autopilot.

There are a number of tasks that we tend to perform habitually, whether it be brushing our teeth, going for a run in the morning, having the same breakfast everyday, taking the same route to work or school. We call these things habits.

Some habits are conducive to moving you towards a specific goal that might benefit you, and others move you away from that goal, for example, if you wanted to lose weight and gain fitness, then, going for a run in the morning will help you burn calories, feel more energetic and feel fitter. However,  if you also have a habit of

 

Habits are subconscious

Follows a pattern that is habitual. We don’t even think about it most of the time. Most of the time our subsconscious bubbles a thought up to the conscious mind telling us what to eat.

 

Identify patterns/habits

When you become aware of certain patterns that move you away from your goal, then it is time for you to find a way to over ride it and replace it with a more productive habit.A habit to moves you towards your goal.

Trouble is most of the time we move one step towards our goal and then we have a number of pre-programmed habits that bring us two steps back, which means that we are no further a head.

Now if there was a way for us to always be moving forward then we will get to goal a lot sooner. So the way to do that is to identify the patterns that are keeping you back from success. There is no one way to do it either. The only way to fix the problem is to just simply become aware of the things you do on a daily basis and ask yourself whether that task will bring you closer to your goal or is it moving you away from your goal.

Once you identify the pattern then it’s a case of reprogramming your subconscious mind so that it replaces the old thought pattern with a new thought pattern.

In order for this new thought pattern to take, you need to have a number of very emotional compelling reasons. These reason neeed to give you enough energy to program the thought in place.
