Nuskin.com is a website for a company that sells quality skin products. Nuskin is a brand that has been around since 1984 (so a considerable time now) and has been selling skin products with great success since.
How Do You Make Money With It?
Nuskin utilizes affiliate marketing to sell its products. One may be tempted to think that affiliate marketing is “just another pyramid scheme” which it most definitely is not. In multi-level marketing (pyramid schemes), of every sale a marketer gets, a commission goes to a marketer on a higher level. This commission makes up a lot as it goes up the pyramid to the highest level marketers in that company.
Affiliate marketing, however, is different in that there are NO levels. The only marketing done is referral to the company in question. For example, if there is a very successful food website online, a company that produces food products would want to get some coverage on that website. They will contact the owner and pay a commission to get a mention or a redirecting link to their website on that successful food website. In this way, they get some more coverage and increase the number of visitors to their website.
This is the essence of affiliate marketing. The commission is the reward gained for pointing people in the company’s direction and this is how the affiliates make their money.
Pros
Nuskin offers very good quality products and pays a rather good commission for the affiliates that market its products. Creating a second level of marketing is completely up to the affiliate. The point is to get the products sold at the end of the day.
Perhaps the best thing about Nuskin is that it doesn’t ask the affiliates for a commission to join the network. As far as affiliating markets go, that is their advantage over multi-level marketing. The only requirement that Nuskin has is purchase of a minimum package of products per month and that is all. The rest is up to how well you can sell your products.
Cons
There are two sides to everything and Nuskin is no different. There are claims that Nuskin is a multi-level marketing company first of all which has discouraged many affiliates from joining their program. Far from it, Nuskin works with affiliates instead of many levels of marketers and only reward the performance of the affiliates whether they personally decide to create their own down lines or not.
What Are the issues with it?
The main issue with Nuskin is identifying itself as a non multi-level marketing company. Skeptics and critics are not impressed by the business plan model and while some are firmly of the opinion that it is an MLM, others are just as firmly convinced that it isn’t.
Whatever the case, the other problem that people have with this particular company is that it is hard to move on up in the company. Some people have worked in it for years but management is rather rigid and it is difficult to move up to the higher levels of management. Unlike MLM companies, your merit and hard work are what play into your promotion, not how many people are under you in terms of marketing.
What Are Others Saying Around The Web?
Multi level marketing is a word that many people hear and turn to walk the other way. Markets are saturated with products to improve your skin, your health, your hair and anything else you can possibly think of. They are numerous and many people remain skeptical about them. Their requirements and conditions can be difficult to meet and it does not seem to be a very lucrative venture.
Nuskin seems to mostly be classed in this category. The fact is that one can choose to create down lines (levels of marketing) or not. However, this is why most people won’t go for this as a business venture.
Other people are extremely satisfied with what Nuskin has offered them in terms of money and work environment. Those that have worked for Nuskin before have mostly nice things to say about the management and their jobs. Apart from a few issues with some rather rude distributors and rigid orders that some people are not happy with, they are happy with Nuskin.
It has been rejected on video and in blogs since people claim that it isn’t as lucrative as it claims. Some of the aspects of Nuskin do in fact resemble a pyramid scheme even though people have consistently claimed that it is not. Either way, people steer clear.
Some people even claim that distributors have been asked not to mention the name of the company to potential clients who would turn tail at the mere mention of a pyramid scheme which is not a very good business strategy or model.
Those that are extremely pleased with the products continue to buy them and distribute them. They also recruit some people into their marketing force mostly for their own gain, but they will certainly have nothing but glowing reviews for Nuskin products and the company.

There are a million scams and scammers out there. Nuskin is one among many legitimate companies whose good name is being spoilt by those that work to simply eat into people’s finances for personal gain. Being affiliated with a company is something that requires careful thought and deliberation since you can never be too carful as far as your money is concerned.
People have lost their entire life savings chasing dreams that could not come true. The best advice you can ever get in this case is to do your research, think about the true consequences of your actions and make a proper informed decision.
